2023 Women Science and Technology Innovation Pioneer Forum Held in Beijing
January 29, 2024The 2023 Women Science and Technology Innovation Pioneer Forum was held in Beijing on December 14, 2023. The forum was organized by Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, Beijing Women's Federation, Beijing Association for Science and Technology, and the ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance.
The purpose was to pool the strength of women scientists who have taken the lead in science and technology innovation, to deepen policy exchanges on women's participation in sci-tech innovation, and to promote the application of sci-tech advances.
During the forum, six sci-tech workers were granted the title of the Women Science and Technology Innovation Pioneer.
A project encouraging women's participation in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) region, under the APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation, was launched during the forum.
